In the early morning hours of August 17th, 2022 the Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to a reported car fire at an autobody shop on South Strongs Avenue. Chief of Department DeGregorio, First Assistant Chief Collins, Third Assistant Chief Cutolo and Engine 1-6-1 responded. Units arrived to find one vehicle involved in the parking lot of the business. The crew from 1-6-1 put one line into operation and had the fire extinguished in about 10 minutes. A car pared next it, had paint damage from the heat.
