The Lindenhurst Fire Department was alerted for a vehicle fire at the end of South 8th Street about 11:10 on February 25, 2026. Assistant Chiefs Brink and Batz responded first. Chief Batz arrived on scene and had an involved vehicle. Engines 1-6-2, 1-6-22 First Responder 1-6-80 and Ambulance 1-6-17 responded. The Lindenhurst Fire Department was requested to assist the West Babylon Fire Department at a fire in the Fairfield Suburbia Garden Apartments on Great East Neck Road on Tuesday evening February 24, 2026. Busy End to 2025

The Lindenhurst Fire Department had a busy end to 2025. On Decemebr 20th the department was activated for an automatic fire alarm at Hurricane Wings on Montauk Highway. First Assistant Chief Cutolo arrived first and reported there was active fire on the roof in the rear of the building. One was put into operation by Engine 1-6-2 to quickly extinguish the fire.
