The Lindenhurst Fire Department was alerted for a vehicle fire at the end of South 8th Street about 11:10 on February 25, 2026. Assistant Chiefs Brink and Batz responded first. The Lindenhurst Fire Department had a busy end to 2025. On Decemebr 20th the department was activated for an automatic fire alarm at Hurricane Wings on Montauk Highway.
